College History Essay Topics That I Must TeachThe number of college history essays that I must write has increased over the past few years. There is a wide variety of topics that I must teach. Many of these topics deal with the lives of people who are a part of history today, such as John F. Kennedy, Winston Churchill, President Obama and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.The presidential election is usually at the top of the list of topics for a college essay. I have also taught about the troubles in Iraq, Hurricane Katrina and the elections that took place in Washington DC. When it comes to presidential elections, the events of this year's election, are the first of many to come. It is essential that I teach about every aspect of the election because of the great amount of power that is at stake.I feel that teaching about various topics that relate to the election is important. The various types of issues that come up are what make the election such a fascinating topic for me to teach. Th ese issues range from the power of the media to the problem of global warming. My students are fascinated by all of these issues, but they are most interested in learning about the candidates.Students want to learn how the candidates' positions affect their lives. In order to teach my students about this topic, I need to be as descriptive as possible. I must do everything I can to get my point across. I cannot allow the students to feel overwhelmed with information. In fact, the student who provides the most information must be the winner of the essay contest.My students enjoy learning about the presidential election. They are very passionate about the campaign and what is at stake. My students are especially interested in learning about the candidates' positions on various issues. Some of the most interesting discussions that take place at my home take place when I teach about the different topics that I must teach.Students often ask me questions about the various issues that they are required to write about. One of the questions that I get asked a lot is: How do I know what candidate is right? Although I do not vote for myself, I am very familiar with all of the candidates and their positions.The student who creates the most convincing argument in the first part of the presidential election is the one who will receive the majority of the vote. The more I educate my students about the presidential election, the more interested they become in the process. Their willingness to participate in the writing process is very encouraging.My students are eager to be part of the writing process. This is the most fun part of my job!
